This book is written to help people who are suffering from a loss, whether it is a loss of a loved one, or the loss that comes from a traumatic or tragic event in life. It is a reflection of the thoughts and messages that have been revealed to me in the years following the tragic loss of my son. 

The book guides us to a deeper understanding of the Spirit of God that is inside us. It provides answers to the most complex and difficult questions concerning life and death, why we are here and what we are supposed to be doing. 

The book uses research and references from a wide variety of authors. Some are fictional in nature and speak to human feelings and thoughts about life. 

Many references are factual and historical and range from all parts of the world and from a wide variety of cultures and religions. 

The book also speaks to us about heaven, the ending of life on earth and the beginning of our eternal existence, and how we are able to follow others to this glorious place that God has provided for us. The numerous messages in this book all lead us to the point of Christ’s birth. It is at this point that we realize our own true birth or re-birth and the point at which the Spirit inside us truly finds its way home. 

Amazingly simple and right in front of us, the messages we have been provided tell us what to do and what to expect. It is the author’s hope that you too will see messages in your life as you read this book and that those messages will bring you closer to the Spirit inside of you. 

If you like philosophical reading this book is full of historical, contemporary, and religious principles demonstrated through the character’s thoughts, questions, and experiences. If you feel like things happen for a reason and wonder about the meaning behind the messages we receive, walking with the character in this book will help connect messages and feelings with spiritual essence and human reality.

Meet Conner, a twelve year old boy growing up on a farm in western Iowa back in the days when the farm was the center of family life in the Midwestern United States. The boy Connor, works hard, grows strong, and learns many lessons about life while living on the farm. He has eleven other siblings in his family, all fourteen family members living at one point in time in a two bedroom farmhouse with no appliances and running water. He does not complain, he knows nothing different, and he takes the reader through numerous activities that a young boy could devise to keep occupied and have fun on the farm. 

This book is for anyone who also cherishes memories of farm life back in the day. It is also for those readers who would like an insight into a way of life that has left us and is growing extinct as generations move further from this style of life. The book, although mostly fictional in parts and somewhat accurate in others, provide a historical look at farm life in our past. 

In summary, the work is a book about a point in our history, a book about our memories, and most importantly, a book about the gift of life.

Meet Benjamin, his Ojibwe name is Lone Eagle. This book is a story about his life, growing up in the north woods wilderness back in the days when the nations were known by names like Anishinabe, Iyiniwok, and Menominee. As a boy, he faces tragedy and becomes a lost son growing into adulthood. In spite of the tragedy in his life, he is able to find balance and a deep understanding and appreciation for God's creation and the Great Mystery. 

If you like reading about Native American history, the beauty of the natural environment, the suspense surrounding a life story, or the joy that is found in a new relationship, this book is for you. If you have ever dipped a paddle into a crystal clear northern lake and walked among the pine and birch forests, you will like this book. In summary, the book captures a piece of our little known history, a book about perseverance in the face of uncontrollable situations in our lives, and most importantly, a book about understanding our place in God's creation and the importance of the life force within us.

Travel along with our main character as he ponders delicate questions, searches for answers, and discovers things that are hidden yet right in front of him. In the book, he is alone in his quest and has no name. Not unlike all of us, alone in our personal intimate reasoning of the purpose of life and the world to come. In the book, as in real life, the character has no name in relation to these questions; the character is in reality any of us, male or female, young or old, and from any country, ethnic group, or religious sect.

Although fictional in some parts, many of the experiences are true and many facts cited are also true. Correlations and conclusions made by the character belong exclusively to the fictional character, and as such are not intended to insinuate anything other than personal reflection; you will enjoy the experience as you ride along with him through the book. The ending is not predictable, so buckle your seat belt and have a great trip!

The core beliefs embedded inside the Constitution of the United States makes it special. The Founding Fathers designed a government that is based on essential human rights. They also pronounced the reliance and influence of Divine Providence in their work. To think that we can see light coming from a galaxy that was formed shortly after the Big Bang event; we are very fortunate to be living in this period of technological advancement!

Life is a subject that we many times take for granted. There are so many complexities manufactured out of the issue of when life begins and how life started that it can be confusing. It is my hope that this book simplifies the issue and directs the reader to the truth about the precious gift of life that we have been given. 

I write for the purpose of helping others. My writing helps me find peace and purpose. If the words in this book help just one other person (other than myself!) then I have achieved my objective. We must do everything we can to support human dignity and protect the sanctity of God’s most precious gift to us – Life! 

Watching for God is the way that we keep our spirit and our lives on track. When we realize how God works every day to walk with us and guide us, we learn to accept and trust in the signs and messages He provides us.   

Sometimes the most meaningful messages and signs come when we are silent and open to listen to what God has to say. In this book we travel pristine lakes in the Northwoods and sense God’s presence in the natural environment. We also travel throughout our daily lives and reflect on how God speaks to us in various ways and how His Word relates to our current world and broader society.
